Business Manager
Bio
Following the introduction of the Business Manager role, David joined the practice in April 2023. He has spent the last 20 years working in the pharmacy sector in various Senior Management and Field based roles. Together with the Partners and other Senior Management Team, David is responsible for strategic leadership within the organisation, leading for resilience, sustainability, growth of the organisation and maintaining financial probity. A fundamental part of this is working alongside local agencies such as the NHSE, NHS Norfolk and Waveney ICB, Primary Care Network, Community services, Suppliers and other internal and external third-parties.

Sam has worked at the practice for over eight years, in 2019 she became Care Coordination Manager. Sam works as Duty Manager ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
She is patient liaison and is on hand to help with queries, questions, feedback and complaints. She leads on Care Navigation recruitment and training. She has a background in hospitality and strives for excellent customer service and focus.

She is responsible for managing the Partners’ day to day schedules and making sure they get to where they are supposed to be. She is also responsible for the organising of the Partners’ meetings, taking of minutes and distributing information on behalf of the Partners

Bio
Heather works behind the scenes within the administration team and works closely with the Management Team. Heather helps to ensure that BMC is compliant in terms of CQC requirements and that staff training, protocols and procedures are relevant and up to date. Heather streamlines many of our administrative processes and reviews new data and information coming through the practice via our local ICB and NHS England

Bio
Alison has worked at Beccles Medical Centre since April 1997 in various roles. She gained a Diploma in Primary Care Management in 2009 and has an excellent all-round knowledge of the work in General Practice.
She has been in the role of Business Administrator since January 2020 where she deals primarily with practice finance; submitting claims, invoice & expense claims processing, data inputting & reconciliation working closely with our accountants and most importantly processing payroll for over 100 employees.

Education and Training Coordinator
Bio
We are GP teaching practice and Alison works closely with the UEA and Cambridge University to organise all of the student and GP registrars who come to learn at BMC. She works closely with patients in the local community with a long term health condition and arranges clinics for them to come and talk to the medical students. We are committed to supporting the teaching of our future GPs

Supplies and Facilities Officer
Bio
Carne joined Beccles Medical Centre as a Care Navigator in September 2022 before moving to her role as Supplies and Facilities Officer. She ensures the upkeep of the Health Centre, Caxton Villa, and Education Centre. This involves co-ordinating maintenance work and routinely monitoring fire safety.
Carne orders the supplies for all areas of the practice and ensures all rooms are equipped with what our staff need to go about their work.

Muhammad (m)
HR Lead
Bio
With 18 years of experience in Human Resources, Muhammad
specialises in driving organizational growth, improving employee satisfaction,
and implementing strategic HR initiatives. He has held lead roles at BMC, the
University of Sunderland, and Drydocks World-Dubai, where he enhanced his
expertise in talent acquisition, employee relations, and data-driven HR
strategies. Holding an MBA, an MSc in International Business Management, and
CIPD Level 7 certification, he excels at aligning HR strategies with business
objectives to achieve measurable outcomes. His skills in data analytics have
improved HR reporting, while his passion for employee welfare has led to
impactful initiatives that boost morale and engagement. He is eager to
contribute his HR expertise to a forward-thinking organisation, driving
long-term success and workplace excellence.
Reception Team
We have over 40 reception and administrative staff. Please ask reception if you need any help and our staff will be happy to assist.
Attached Staff
We work very closely with the community health team including District Nurses, Health Visitors, Midwives, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Podiatrist. You will be referred to the community team when appropriate and may be able to self-refer for some of their services.
